Can running as a "limited" user avoid these problems? 17 July 2008 18:13
My normal OS is Win2k Pro, and I'm planning soon to move to a "new"
OS: XP pro, so the Vista issue does not concern me. However, the
Word and Google issues can be more general. You specifically mention
that it is a Registry entry that leaves the tracks.
At least in Win2K, running as a "limited" user prevents software from
changing the Registry. Would that be a workaround for these
problems? Would that also work in XP? Vista?
