I would like to update a Windows installation while booted from
another Windows installation. For example, I would like to start
Windows XP from a UBCD4Win CD, and then update an installation of
Windows XP on a hard drive.
This is needed since sometimes an installation of Windows that is
corrupted with malware won't allow installation of files that would
de-activate the corruption.

Another example would be to start Windows on a known good computer,
and then update an installation of Windows on a hard drive connected
to a USB adapter.
