Re: Downloaded an iso, but where is the file? 16 January 2008 15:47
Documentation on how it works seems to be pretty light. When I
extracted the zip file I downloaded it created a folder name
ctupdate4, and under that folder I found these files and folders:
bin
client
cmd
doc
exclude
iso
static
UpdateGenerator.au3
UpdateGenerator.exe
UpdateGenerator.ini
xslt
The ISO images are under the "iso" folder. I chose to have CDs
created vs a DVD so there are three ISO images for WinXP, Office XP,
and Office 2003 which I asked it to create:
wsusoffline-o2k3-enu.iso
wsusoffline-oxp-enu.iso
wsusoffline-wxp-enu.iso
Just a matter of burning them to CD now.
I heard about Offline-Update from Steve Gibson and Leo Laport via
their SecurityNow podcast. From another Leo Laport podcast (Windows
Weekly with Paul Therott) I heard about Image Burn, www.imgburn.com
for burning images to CD. Time to try that one out now.
