Microsoft updates Mac Office
Microsoft has introduced the first update to the new version of its office suite for Mac computers earlier than planned. This was necessitated by complaints from users about the lack of stability of the software. Tests by heise of the German version released in February demonstrated freezing and data loss.

The update, approximately 114 Mbytes in size, is claimed to improve stability. At present it is only available as a download. Microsoft says that the update also eliminates some security holes and many errors. So Word 2008 should now, for example, be able to display equations in documents that were generated in Windows 2007. A list of all the changes is given in a Knowledge Base article.
